Ms.Marn: Language & Literature, CIS Lit, and High School Reading Lab (Room 140C)

I have been a part of the BCHS staff for the last three years. I teach both English and reading lab classes in the high school, as well as a single section of CIS Literature (a concurrent enrollment program through U of M).

In the past I have led the school's poetry club, which this year has evolved into Poetry Out Loud. Poetry Out Loud is a poetry performance competition that has both state and national levels. BCHS's competition will be held in January with two students from the high school participating this year. Here is a link to the Poetry Out Loud website where you can learn more about this event:

I should also share a bit about my educational background and my professional qualifications as I am teaching your children. I hold a BA in English from the University of North Dakota, and an MA in English from the University of Saint Thomas. My teaching licenses in Communication Arts and Literature and Reading were earned at Hamline University, as was my MA in Literacy Education, which was just completed this August.
